Cantay Estates is in the process of preparing an outline planning application for the former gravel pit off Church Road, Long Hanborough. The proposal includes 94 new homes in a low density development, areas of new woodland, significant areas of publicly accessible amenity space, new walking routes through the site and the creation of a new educational geological resource for the benefit of the entire local community.
We are proposing a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached houses in keeping with the existing character of Long Hanborough. 20% will be Starter Homes and 30% will be affordable housing available for local residents with the balance being open market housing. Exact tenures and mix will be finalised after we have considered feedback from the local community on the proposals.
Thank you for your feedback
We recently asked members of the local community for their feedback on the proposals and received a wide range of helpful comments, which we will now consider before finalising our plans and submitting a planning application to West Oxfordshire District Council later this year.
The window for comments has now closed. For more details of our proposals and to see the illustrative site layout, please visit the Proposal
